Built on Pride, Reliability & Personal Standards

GML Clean was created with a simple goal — to offer businesses a more dependable and personal approach to commercial cleaning.

I’m George, and after more than 5 years in the industry working across over 60 commercial sites, I saw first-hand how important consistency and accountability are to businesses. Clean premises aren’t just about appearance — they reflect your standards, your professionalism, and the environment you provide for staff and clients.

That’s why I built GML Clean around strong values: reliability, attention to detail, and taking real pride in the work delivered. I believe communication should be straightforward, service should be dependable, and standards should never slip.

Every business is different, which is why I take the time to understand exactly what each client needs. Whether it’s an office, commercial unit, or shared workspace, my focus is always the same — delivering a clean, well-maintained environment you can confidently open every day.

GML Clean isn’t about being the biggest. It’s about being trusted.

What challenges is the industry facing?

The commercial cleaning industry has changed significantly in recent years, and many businesses have experienced common challenges when working with larger cleaning providers. High staff turnover, inconsistent service standards, and communication gaps can often lead to frustration for clients who simply want reliable and dependable results.

Through my own experience working within the industry over the past 5 years — I’ve seen these challenges first hand. Businesses often struggle with regularly changing cleaning staff, missed instructions, and varying standards from one visit to the next. When responsibility is shared across multiple teams or subcontractors, accountability can easily become unclear, leaving clients to repeatedly raise the same concerns.

The industry is also adapting to evolving employment legislation across the UK. While stronger protections for workers are an important and positive development, they can make it more difficult for companies to quickly address performance issues or challenge unreliable or inconsistent staff members. In practice, this can sometimes mean service issues continue longer than businesses would reasonably expect.

Combined with increasing operational costs and staffing pressures, consistency has become one of the biggest challenges facing commercial cleaning today.

Having seen these issues first hand, GML Clean was built around a different approach — one that focuses on accountability, reliability, and maintaining consistent standards that businesses can depend on every time.
